Today's picture is a Sacred Ibis. This one was enjoying the morning sunshine perched on a rock. It seemed to me a good way to while away the time. This one lives in the Great Bend-Brit Spaugh Zoo in Great Bend, KS.

So time for my weekly update. I held off from my normal Thursday update because I wanted to report I was completely done with my second round of editing.

I finished the editing but decided to reformat the file to make easier to work on for the editor and work from for the designer. I am about two-thirds of the way done and should be finished tomorrow still ahead of my schedule. Then it will be back to the editor for round 2.

I also wanted to take a moment and thank everyone who has shown so much support for the project so far. It is very much appreciated. And I hope you will tell your friends about it and share our mutual love of zoos. With your continued support this project will be a great success.

It was a very good day on Friday. I received the final image for the front cover of the book. I am very pleased with how well it turned out.

A big shout out to the designer, Domini. I love it so much.

Today's picture is an American Black bear. On the day I visited them, they were splashing in their pond bobbing for apples. It was very hilarious to watch, but eventually it got one. This bear lives at Dickerson Park Zoo in Springfield, MO.

I chose this picture of a red fox today. It seemed to be having a grand time digging a burrow in its enclosure. It lives at the Dakota Zoo in Bismarck, North Dakota.
